CMSCart can be a website, webstore, CMS, blog, etc. depending on what available template you use, how you modify it or what you custom design. It has limitless power. We have chosen to provide a fairly standard webstore using the supplied sample template in the distribution. Other templates can be found where CMSCart is distributed. See Download.

CMSCart has the ability to present live inventory from EdgeERP by using a supplied API (communication) between the two. The API is available where CMSCart is distributed. See Download. It is one file that is easily put into the cmscart directory.

Try switching between the many site designs in the demo. First select a site and click Select then click on Active to make it live. As you can see, the power and versatility of CMSCart is astounding! You can see that CMSCart can easily do all others and much, much more so it doesn't even need to wow through a particular site design, the sky is the limit. Within the admin area there is an online manual accessed by clicking on Help.

Some explanation about the live communication between EdgeERP and CMSCart should be provided. There are two current functionalities:

1. Retrieval and display of live inventory. If you go into the demo EdgeERP above, into Items, you can search for one of the CMSCart items displayed by entering its item code or description. CMSCart is actually retrieving this item live from EdgeERP including description, price, etc. So, if you change the item in EdgeERP, CMSCart will reflect those changes next time it is accessed by anyone.


2. Dynamic display of entire sales category structure and items within. In EdgeERP go to Setup then Sales System Categories. Select the DEMO sales system. Click on show structure. The entire sales category structure is shown here and can be modified in any ways needed at any time ongoing. By selecting a category, the items that will be displayed when it is chosen are listed. This is all maintained in the ERP where it should be since the items are maintained there. Only one place for everything instead of the double work of other carts and the lack of good communication, if any between them and ERP. CMSCart taps in live to find this sales category structure and display it. It also retrieves a list of items and a particular item by tapping in live to EdgeERP.
